#2 Analysis Paper: 

Choose one of the two video/article analysis assignments below and respond to the questions using a minimum of 300 words and a maximum of 400 words. Use a separate paragraph for each question response but DO NOT number your paragraphs – use a paper format. Follow the APA format (title page, quote cited, citation – see examples in your class site).

Choice #1 

Watch the TED Talk  “The Science of Cells that Never get Old” by Elizabeth Blackburn, who won a Nobel Peace Prize for her research, and then answer the following questions using at least 300-400 words:

1. Give me a very short summary of this video and tell me what you think of the Telomere Effect Theory? (20 points)2. What in your life right now if helping and hurting your telomeres? Consider the social, cognitive and physical implications. (20 points)3. Do you regularly spend time being purposefully mindful?  Let me know what you think about mindfulness and stress and how you either already incorporate this into your life or could in the future.(20 points)4. Find an article about this topic and write a quote from it in your short paper, using proper APA formatting.  Be sure to write the article citation in APA format at the end of your summary. Watch the TED talk Why 30 is not the new 20 and answer the following questions in a total of no less than 300 words and no more than 400 words:

1. Summarize three main points of this video (20 points)2. What are the social, cognitive and physical implications discussed in the video (20 points)3. What did you learn from this video that you can apply to your own life (20 points)4. Find an article about this topic and write a quote from it in your short write-up, using proper APA formatting.  Be sure to write the article citation in APA format at the end of your summary. (40 points – includes article, quote, proper APA format, citation)
